To begin the Crazy Talk Timeline of Canada
project, you will research an important event in Canadian
history. During your research, you will find at least three
sources (at least one source must be a primary source) and
you will make three note cards.
Once your note cards are completed, you
are ready to make your script and movie. You will use your
imagination to create a character who will present your
research information in your movie. Try to be creative when
you are creating your character. For example, if you are
writing about an event that relates to the fur trade, you
might choose to create an animated beaver to read your script.
Near the end of the movie, you will create a review section
where you pose and answer some questions relating to the
material that you covered in your movie. Some of your questions
should involve higher level thinking skills. The movie will
end with a bibliography.
You will use three computer programs to
turn your script into a movie:
- Crazy Talk
- Powerpoint
- Moviemaker
Your movie needs to have
the following elements:
1. A main character with
a well developed and appropriate personality
2. A script that contains
accurate and detailed historical information about your
event
3. A title
4. at least five pictures
5. At least one question
and answer that relates to each of the following areas:
who, what, where, when, why, how (remember to create some
questions that involved higher level thinking skills)
6. Bibliography (that
includes pictures).
